WILLIAM BURGESS SCHOOL COUNCIL
Parent and caregiver volunteers working together to support student achievement and strengthen our school and community.
The William Burgess School Council is made up of parent, caregiver and guardian volunteers, the principal, a teacher representative, and a community member. Together, through executive roles and committees, we work to support student achievement and strengthen our school community.
Each fall, the Council develops and approves a budget focused on enhancing the school experience for every child. We're supported by donations and sponsorships from families and local businesses, alongside fundraising events held throughout the year. Funds go directly toward:
Classroom supplies and resources
In-class enrichment experiences
Field trips and transportation
Music, physical education, special education, the school garden, robotics, and more
Parents and caregivers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you can give a few hours, or join a committee of the executive, every contribution makes a meaningful difference for our kids and our school community.
